Use the interactive Village of Ruidoso Public Information RAIN Map to search your address and identify your evacuation zone. Ruidoso-area evacuation zones are labeled A–N.

The Village of Ruidoso uses a three-level evacuation notification system. Understanding each level helps residents and visitors make informed decisions quickly during rapidly changing conditions.
🟢 Level 1 — Be Ready
Danger may be in the area. Stay informed through official Village alerts, local media, and emergency information channels.
Prepare your go-kit, review evacuation routes, check with loved ones, and consider leaving early if you or others may need additional time to evacuate safely.
🟡 Level 2 — Be Set
Significant danger is nearby. Be prepared to leave immediately if conditions worsen.
Inform loved ones of your plans, stay alert to changing conditions, and leave early if you feel unsafe or need extra time to evacuate.
🔴 Level 3 — Go Now
Leave immediately. There is extreme danger in the area.
Do not stop to gather belongings or attempt to protect your home. Emergency responders may not be available if you choose to stay.
If You Are in Multiple Zones
Some properties in Ruidoso may sit near or across evacuation zone boundaries. If you are unsure which zone applies to your address, contact the Village of Ruidoso OEM at 575-258-4343. Do not assume.
After You Find Your Zone
- Write down your evacuation zone.
- Add it to your family emergency plan.
- Mark it on your go-bag.
- Identify primary and alternate evacuation routes.
- Share your zone information with every adult in your household.
- Recheck your zone each spring before fire season.
